I have been using on like this myself since June 2003 with NO Problems.  Unlike other shredders that break easily, this one will stop shredding when the bin is full - preventing damage.  This full strength shredder will not break and will power through most anything you can throw at it.  Includes the good separate slot for CD and DVD media.
