I don't believe I over used the machine but the cutters got bent and after that it gummed up and had to be cleared each time. I went looking for replacements parts (cutter roller) but could not find anything. So now I have another waste basket and the working part is trash. You may be able to use it if you keep to single sheets of paper. It says it can handle credit cards and CDs but I don't think so. You get what you pay for and now I have to spend again. I will not consider a Ativa.
