Overview

If you are looking for a lower volume paper shredder for your office the Fellowes P-57Cs is a excellent product.

Pros and Cons

Pros Great Price Point
Easy to empty and clean
Easy to waste basket level
Can be used as a trashcan for small items
Cons Can reach into the Shredder Waste basket

Review

This is a very good shredder at a lower price point. The retail price is
around $100 but you should be able to find it for $60 to $70. The design is
straight forward and simple the shredder motor sits directly on top of the waste
basket. There is no door to open or basket to pull out. Just take off the
shredder top/motor and empty. Having fewer parts to the waste basket means less
fewer places for the shredded paper to get trapped. The waste basket has a
smaller

The shredder performs pretty well at full capacity. The shredder made it
through 8 pages in one pass with out a problem. It did go a little slower than
with 4 pages.

One nice feature is you can see directly into the waste basket and even place
smaller items into it, allowing you to use the shredder waste basket as a trash
can for smaller items.

One downside is that you can reach into the waste basket when the shredder is
going making this slightly more dangerous around children and pets. This would
be great to be used at an office desk away from children and pets.

First time I tried to schred 4 pages it jammed up. Barely works on one page.

I have this shredder set on the auto mode and on several occasions upon entering my home office I have found it running without any paper being inserted. Woke up one night around 3 a.m. and heard a noise. Went into room and the shredder was running. SCARY!
