Cons Doesn't work properly and soon jams, breaks down or fails completely.

Review

Absolutely dreadful shredder. Weak motor, hardly takes one or two sheets at a time, not 6, constantly jams, eventually one of the plastic cogs inside has broken, after the housing sheared off and it filled its sealed electrical area with shredder paper. Yes, it feels solid, but its total rubbish.

Review

I purchased this shredder from Walmart a little over 1 year ago, because Fellowes seemed to stand out among shredder brands. What a complete waste of money and time! This shredder does not perform even close to what Fellowes claim it would. Because I had a cheaper lesser known shredder before this one, I had some experience with how a shredder should perform, and this one did a very poor job compared to the previous one that cost half the price. This was a rip-off in comparison. I thought I was upgrading, when in fact, I was downgrading quite a bit, and the previous shredder was not even that great either, but better than this piece of sh*t. This shredder needed constant maintenance because it never performed as expected when trying to shred more than 1 sheet of paper at a time, and even 1 sheet was a problem many times. To make matters even worse, the gears wore out, so the blades no longer turn, so the shredder no longer shreds, and you are on your own with a shredderless shredder. I purchased a $30 Champion 8-sheeet cross-cut shredder from Big Lots and it makes that hunk-of-junk Fellowes shredder look ridiculous.

Lasted about a year without frequent use. Paper wraped around cutting wheels and broke plastic retainer around them. Gruesome, painful self-destructive death. Barely handled 3 sheets at a time.
